Flour Lane
"Other tools made us press a button every morning to sync orders, or relied on Zapier that dropped 3-4 orders a month. Ordak just works — orders flow in automatically, every single time."
Before Ordak
Flour Lane is a Sydney bakery and patisserie that built a large share of its business online. Shopify sits at the centre of the customer experience. Everything downstream — production, packing, delivery — depends on those Shopify orders arriving quickly, completely, and in the right order.
That was the problem.
The tools Flour Lane had tried either required a morning button-press to pull orders across, or stitched Shopify to production through Zapier. Buttons get forgotten; Zapier quietly dropped three to four orders a month. In a bakery, a dropped order is a customer who expected their cake and isn’t getting it.
Route planning had the same flavour of problem. The previous delivery tool was rigid — once a run was set, adjusting it mid-morning was painful. Flexibility matters in a business where a kitchen delay or a last-minute order can re-shape the whole day.
The switch to Ordak
Ordak Manufacturing replaced the Zapier bridge. Orders land via webhook the instant Shopify creates them. There’s no button, no morning sync ritual, no reconciliation check. If Shopify has the order, Ordak has it.
On the delivery side, Ordak Delivery re-planned routes without ceremony. Drag an order onto a different run, re-optimise, push the updated plan to drivers. The same flexibility a scheduler had in their head, now represented in software.
Ordak Go handled the cart-side pieces — postcode validation, delivery-or-pickup, date selection — so the bad inputs that used to create downstream problems never reached the production floor.
Results
Order accuracy at 100% since the switch. Manual imports gone — not reduced, eliminated. Shopify-to-Ordak sync that runs continuously rather than on a morning trigger. Route changes that take seconds instead of being a whole-day negotiation.
